A short time ago I received an email offering me a one day only download a bunch of Jane Austen variations for FREE. Well of course I wanted free Austenesque books so I checked out the offerings. There were dozens! From those I picked six I found interesting and yesterday I randomly opened one: A More Agreeable Man by Jan Ashton.

A More Agreeable Man had an interesting premise, was well written, and had excellent pacing. I devoured it and am now happy to add Jan Ashton to my list of preferred authors. The premise is that Jane Bennet and Mary King are in Ramsgate on holiday at the same time Wickham is attempting to seduce Georgiana Darcy. Jane and Georgiana become friends, and Wickham meets Jane. He throws his plans for Georgiana aside and proposes to Jane, who accepts.

This means that by the time Lizzy and Darcy meet Wickham is on track to be a part of the Bennet family! I won’t spoil anything else for you, but I highly recommend finding out for yourself. What a great read!
