Normally I can’t stand political ads, but lately celebrities have been turning in some stellar performances. I love the one where Sam Elliot says, “Be a man, and vote for a woman.” He really projects tired father sick to death of his kids being stupid vibes. Great use of the F bomb too.

I absolutely adore the new add narrated by Julia Roberts where she promises women that their MAGA husbands will never know if they vote for Harris. I actually know a couple where the man would ask her if she’d voted for his preferred candidate and she would always say, “I voted for the right one.” – meaning she had voted for the one she wanted. They’re not married anymore, and I would say anyone that needs to lie to her spouse about making her own decisions should get out of those marriages too.

I know it’s not a real ad, but you’ve got to hand it to Jimmy Kimmel Live for the David Bautista ad where they say he wears more makeup than Dolly Parton etc. I can’t get enough of that one, but I have had more than enough of this election. I know November 5th will be here in a heartbeat, but I don’t expect the election to be called for a day or two more to be followed by law suits that will drag out until inauguration day.

I pray there will be no violence. No repeat of January 6th. There will probably be at least rioting. I hope our nation can survive this election as a testament to democracy, but I am shaking in my boots over here.
