As a game designer and SF/F author I’ve been serving on panels at conventions for years. The first con to ask me was Ravencon and it will always have a special place in my heart because of it. I’ve also put in a few years at Capclave and Philcon. This year after decades of attending it I was finally asked to be on panels sat Balticon.

But what’s special to me this week is that a week from today I will be on two panels at CanCon – a convention I’ve only been to once before. It will also be my first panel outside the USA. I’m thrilled to be given this opportunity to explore new frontiers and pontificate where no Wendland has pontificated before!
