Capclave is a local (to me) science fiction convention. It’s very much a literary convention so you don’t see costumes but you do see people gleefully leaving the dealers room with arms full of books for their TBR pile. As a local I’ve been gifted quite a bit of exposure at Capclave over the years.

This past weekend I sat on 6 panels (moderating 2 of them) and also had a reading and an autograph session. This resulted in 6 book sales, 2 audiobook downloads, and 1 new Kindle Unlimited reader. For a little author like me that’s a pretty darned good show!

It was also a wonderful opportunity to play games, catch up with old friends, and make some new ones. As a bonus I was home an hour after I left! The show is actually close to home but on the wrong side of the Potomac river so about half that time is traffic. Looking forward to next year when Joe Haldeman will be the guest of honor!
