I do a lot of walking, and sometimes (shock/horror) it is raining out. Now most rain boots are fine for getting from the house to the car to the office etc. BUT some of us walk for exercise, or to get to absolutely everything if we live in urban environments. If you’re going to be walking a lot, rain boots simply aren’t up to the task. I need something that will offer me arch support and comfort that doesn’t leave me with wet feet. I’ve tried hiking boots, but my old lady knees suffer from the extra weight.

A long time ago I had Gortex sneakers from Nike and they were awesome. When they wore out I discovered Nike didn’t make them anymore. I have been searching for a waterproof support sneaker that fits me for YEARS. Today my waterproof Keens arrived and I literally can’t wait to test drive them in the rain tomorrow! I’ve had good luck with my Keen snow boots so I am very optimistic.

If anyone out there works for a shoe manufacturer can you explain to me why waterproof sneakers are so rare?
