The End of the Season

The hubby and I love Rehoboth Beach, but not the shoulder to shoulder crowded beach of the summer. We always travel off season, but this year we have left it until the very last weekend before all the stores and restaurants close up. Some are already sealed up for the winter but the ones still in operation are very welcoming to the last of the customers. We are able to walk into the hotspots without a reservation and chefs are willing to take the extra time with me to find a solution to my multiple allergies. Last night the staff of Bodhi went above and beyond to create a modified dish so I could eat safely. It wound up being a kimchi fried rice with shrimps and a lot of savory items added for flavour. I was delicious! Additionally stores have very deep discounts. I’m going to get a new bathing suit while I’m here.

As much as I love Ottawa it’s too far from the ocean. There’s nothing like the roar of the surf and the smell of the sea. I’d really missed this sleepy little beach town.
