I admit I missed #FangirlFriday this week but I had a super good reason. Once a year some old college friends of mine throw a pool party in New Jersey and invite the old gang. Some of these people have known me since 1982! There is nothing to compare to the joy of lazing around a pool with people that know you inside and out and still like you 40+ years later*.

My hosts found out I’d never seen the movie Armageddon so they pretty much told me I couldn’t go home until I sat through it. DREADFUL science but a first class cast and plenty of fun one liners. They’re good people.

*Also the alcohol and massive pot luck barbecue doesn’t hurt the mood any 🙂
