Is there any joy quite like finally finishing a project that turned out to be much harder than you thought? The one you regret taking on and only finish through dogged determination to make good on your promise? The one where you can’t help but think you were a fool to ever take on?

No. No that joy is unique. It’s like a great weight removed from your chest so you can finally breathe. Followed by the joy of all the things you promised yourself when you finished such as gelato and fancy cocktails. Thank God that’s over.

On a COMPLETELY unrelated not (wink)…

Before you send out a manuscript for beta reading you should already be happy with your MS. It should be as good as you can make it short of hiring a line editor. You should have read it completely through and edited it at least once. It should be spell checked AND grammar checked. It should contain fewer than 246 semicolons and absolutely NO SENTENCES OVER 50 WORDS.

Did I mention thank God that’s over?
