The Knife and the Serpent
This week I had the joy to read The Knife and the Serpent by Tim Pratt. Now to be honest I’ve never met a Pratt book I didn’t like, but this one is outstanding. For one thing, I’m a sucker for A/B plot lines that eventually merge. For another, I love snarky dialog. The world building is good, and the pace is excellent.
When I was halfway through the book I became upset that there was only half left because I just wanted to keep reading about these characters and this world. I will be majorly disappointed if Pratt doesn’t publish the further adventures of Glenn and Vivy.
Content warning: There’s a lot of talk about kinks, but absolutely no detailed scenes. I’m as vanilla as they come and I was fine with it, but if the mere mention of kink is a problem for you then maybe you should skip it. It will be your loss though, because it’s a fantastic book.
